Victorian Whitby Jet Cherub Putti Painted Pendant

This is a lovely painted porcelain and Jet pendant from the victorian (1880 s ) era!This gorgous piece is comprised of a pear shape porcelain plaque held within a fabulous carved Jet frame.

The porcelain has the wonderful hand painted image of a sweet winged cherub which is resting his chin on his hand and a soft gaze on his face as though deep in thought.

The colour and detail is lovely and the portrait is simple yet beautiful.Solid black Jet encases the painted porcelain portrait.

The wide border has a convex design and carries a fantastic roman key pattern which is hand carved into the surface around the whole frame.

There is some damage to one edge and the top of the pendant PLEASE REFER TO PHOTOS .
